My Story
Elaine Hutchison is a National Board Certified mathematics teacher and Director of Professional Development from Fairview, Oklahoma. Hutchison is a fourth-generation teacher with 28 years of classroom teaching experience. In 2013, Elaine was named the Oklahoma Teacher of the Year,
and served as Oklahoma’s Ambassador of Teaching. She is a strong advocate for rural schools and elevating the role of teacher-leader, and is an enthusiastic mentor and recruiter for future educators.
Elaine graduated from Ames Public Schools in 1988. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education from Oklahoma State University in 1992, and her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University in 2017. While at OSU, Elaine was
recognized as a Top Ten Freshman and Outstanding Senior Woman.
My Approach
Elaine Hutchison is an energetic presenter who specializes in blending storytelling and educational research into dynamic and motivating sessions that will have participants on their feet and engaged.
Elaine draws on her personal experience to provide professional development in Teacher Mental Health, STEM, and collaborating with community resources. . She provides participants with ready-to-use strategies grounded in current educational research.
Elaine delivers motivational keynotes, small group, and whole-group sessions. She is also available for semester or year-long one on one mentoring for classroom educators and STEM coordinators.
